Cox Geelen – Dutch Specialist in Flue Gas and Concentric Systems

Cox Geelen is a Dutch manufacturer specialising in flue gas systems, chimney solutions and combustion air supply for heating appliances. Founded in 1870, the company has more than 150 years of experience and develops solutions for both individual homes and collective heating installations.

The product range is suitable for applications such as boilers, condensing appliances, room-sealed gas appliances and other heating equipment where safe flue gas discharge is essential.

Flue gas systems for different applications

Cox Geelen offers complete flue solutions that connect the heating appliance to a wall or roof terminal. The range includes concentric and single-wall systems in different materials and diameters.

Main product groups include:

  • Concentric flue gas systems

  • Single-wall flue systems

  • PP and PPs flue pipes

  • Aluminium flue systems

  • Stainless steel systems

  • Double-wall insulated systems

  • Horizontal wall terminals

  • Vertical roof terminals

  • Boiler adapters and reducers

  • Collective 3CE systems

  • Prefabricated chimney solutions

The modular construction allows straight lengths, bends, adapters and terminals to be combined into a system suited to the appliance and installation layout.

CoxDENS for condensing appliances

CoxDENS is one of Cox Geelen’s main product ranges for modern condensing heating appliances.

The systems are available in different versions, including PP, PP/aluminium and flexible configurations. PP flue systems are particularly suitable for condensing appliances because of their relatively low flue gas temperatures and the presence of condensate.

Depending on the system configuration, CoxDENS can be used with condensing gas- and oil-fired heating appliances.

Concentric CoxDENS and CoxCentric systems

A concentric flue system consists of two pipes positioned inside one another.

The inner pipe carries combustion gases outside, while fresh combustion air is supplied through the outer section.

Cox Geelen offers this technology in product ranges including CoxDENS and CoxCentric. Depending on the version, material combinations include PP/plastic, PP/aluminium, aluminium/aluminium and stainless steel/aluminium.

This type of system is widely used with room-sealed heating appliances.

Additional safety with concentric flue systems

A concentric system provides an additional layer of protection because the flue pipe is surrounded by the combustion air supply pipe.

If an issue occurs with the inner flue pipe, any leaking combustion gases remain within the surrounding air duct before they could reach the living space.

Correct sizing, installation and connection in accordance with the appliance manufacturer’s and Cox Geelen’s instructions remain essential.

CONNEXT X3 and X7

Cox Geelen developed the CONNEXT connection system to simplify the assembly of concentric flue installations.

CONNEXT X3 is used with selected CoxDENS PP/plastic systems, while CONNEXT X7 is available for configurations such as PP/aluminium and aluminium/aluminium.

These connections help position the inner and outer pipes correctly and simplify the joining of system components.

Solutions for individual and collective installations

In addition to systems for individual properties, Cox Geelen supplies solutions for collective flue gas installations.

CoxHYBRID 3CE PP, for example, is designed for collective combustion air supply and flue gas discharge in apartment buildings and other multi-storey properties with multiple connected heating appliances.

These systems can be used for renovation and new-build projects, depending on the technical design and requirements of the installation.

Wall and roof terminals

A complete flue installation requires a suitable terminal.

Cox Geelen supplies horizontal and vertical solutions for both wall and roof discharge, together with concentric terminals and boiler adapters.

The correct terminal depends on factors such as appliance type, flue system, diameter and the specifications of the heating appliance manufacturer.

Quality and certification

Cox Geelen develops flue systems in accordance with applicable technical and safety requirements. The company is ISO 9001 certified, and various product ranges carry CE marking and additional certifications.

Cox Geelen also operates its own research and testing facilities, where products can be evaluated under different conditions for performance, safety and durability.

More than 150 years of experience

Cox Geelen was founded in 1870 and originally manufactured metal products.

With the growth of natural gas and modern heating systems, the company increasingly specialised in flue gas discharge, chimney systems and combustion air supply. Since 1970, Cox Geelen has been based in Eijsden in the Netherlands.

This long history combines traditional metalworking knowledge with modern flue technology.

Why choose Cox Geelen?

Cox Geelen is particularly suitable when a complete flue solution is required with technically compatible system components.

The range includes PP, aluminium and stainless steel solutions for both traditional and modern condensing heating appliances, allowing simple connections as well as more complex flue routes to be assembled.

Buy Cox Geelen flue systems

When configuring a Cox Geelen flue system, all components must be suitable for both the connected appliance and the other parts of the installation.

Important factors include pipe diameter, maximum flue gas temperature, fuel type, total flue length, number of bends and the selected wall or roof terminal.

With product ranges such as CoxDENS, CoxCentric and CoxHYBRID, Cox Geelen offers solutions for both individual flue installations and larger collective systems.
